G-Dogs
"It is not how you start, but how you finish." This statement would be used to describe the season opener for the varsity boys basketball team in their 66-58 victory over the Truman Patriots on Friday night. The G-Dogs overcame a shaky start in the first half which led to a 33-31 deficit after two quarters. During the second half, the G-Dogs utilize its aggressive defense and a more efficient offensive production to outscore Truman 35 to 25. Jordan Lathon led the G-Dogs with 20 points, followed by Cartez Crook-Jones with 13 points and Mason Taylor and DeAndre Sorrels with 11 points each.
