Our Band Program
The Grandview Band Program has been known for 20+ years for its tradition of excellence. The high school band program offers many opportunities for students through its various ensembles. During the summer we begin our marching band season through Drumline and Color Guard Camps and full marching band camp. The Blue & Gold Brigade consists of 8-12 grade students and it is one of the only volunteer marching bands. This year our marching band show is titled "Music of John Williams". We will be attending four festivals throughout the season. Because the marching band is a volunteer organization, we are able to begin the school year with Symphonic Band (9-12 grade), Concert Band (10-12 grade), and Freshman Band. Symphonic Band is an auditioned ensemble. In addition to these ensembles, students will also have the opportunity to participate in either the Jazz Orchestra or the Grandview High School Jazz II. These are also auditioned ensembles. Other opportunities for students to participate include; pep band, combos, district band (auditioned), solo & ensemble (District & State Festival). The band program also has a tremendous support system from the Grandview Band Boosters.
