History:

Don Mateo is from a Spanish speak family from California. He spent his formative year in the mountains of Idaho. At 18 he joined the U.S. Army and found an environment in which he excelled. Don Mateo separated from military services as a first lieutenant. From which he began his teaching career. Feeling called to a different area of instruction, Don Mateo moved to Costa Rica and began teaching in that environment. Eventually feeling the call of home. Don Mateo and his family returned to live in the U.S.
