Getting Involved at GHS
- Personal Development: Participating in clubs and activities allows students to explore their interests, passions, and talents. It provides opportunities for self-discovery, self-expression, and personal growth.
- Skill Development: Clubs and activities often focus on specific skills or areas of interest, providing students with a chance to develop and enhance their abilities. This could include leadership skills, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, creativity, time management, and organization.
- Social Connections: Joining clubs and activities helps students meet like-minded peers who share similar interests. It offers a chance to make new friends, develop relationships, and create a sense of belonging within the school community.
- Leadership Opportunities: Many clubs and activities provide avenues for students to take on leadership roles, such as club officers, team captains, or event organizers. These positions allow students to develop and showcase their leadership abilities, fostering confidence and a sense of responsibility.
- College Applications: Involvement in clubs and activities can strengthen college applications. Admissions officers often look for well-rounded students who are actively engaged in extracurricular pursuits. Participation in clubs and activities demonstrates a student's commitment, passion, and ability to balance academic and non-academic responsibilities.
