After months of practice, Grandview High School student, Mavion Britton represented Sheffield Family Life Center at the district competition in Springfield. Competing against 10 other artists, before a panel of judges, his rap solo performance earned first place with a near-perfect score 38/40 and a trip to the national contest in Houston Texas. During the national contest, Britton competed against nearly a hundred other solo rap artists, earned an Award of Excellent and is ranked 15th in the nation. This has drawn the attention of several fine arts colleges. Congratulations Mavion!
