2020 Graduation Ceremony Plans

Grandview High School Families,

We understand that graduation is a sacred time for our seniors and their families.  It is our goal to honor all of their academic accomplishments by recognizing this milestone with an in-person graduation ceremony.

Due to the current safety guidelines and standards that are encouraged, a graduation ceremony of this kind will be different than it has been in times past.  We look forward to celebrating our seniors but also need to keep safety at the forefront of our minds.  Our current plan to accomplish this is to hold a complete graduation ceremony, June 29th at 7:00 pm at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, MO (formerly known as the Silverstein Eye Center Arena) that at this time will include graduates only.  Guests will be able to watch the ceremony via live streaming.  Graduates in attendance will abide by social distancing guidelines.

Additional details about the live streaming access will be sent out at a later date.  We will continue to monitor guidance from the Jackson County Health Department and make adjustments accordingly.  We appreciate your patience as we work together to celebrate the Class of 2020 while not jeopardizing the health and safety of our school community.
