Mike Stringer Biography

Mike Stringer is in his 15th year of teaching and coaching in the Grandview C4 School District. Mr. Stringer began his teaching career in 2007 at Grandview Alternative School. He taught at Grandview Alternative School for three year and moved over to Grandview High School in 2010.  He has taught all subjects in the social studies department and currently teaches State & Federal Government, along with Street Law: An Introduction to the U.S. Legal System.  He served as head baseball coach of the Bulldogs for 11 seasons.  Coach Stringer has also coached high school softball (5yrs) and is currently the Head Girls Golf Coach (4yrs). Mr. Stringer grew up in Lee’s Summit. He graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1999 where he played baseball. He graduated from the University of Missouri-KC with a degree in Secondary Education with a minor in History. In 2020 he earned his Master’s in Athletic Administration through Arkansas State University.  Mr. Stringer and his wife, Jenny, have two children, Jackson (8) and Caroline (5). They live in Lee’s Summit and are members of Our Lady of the Presentation Parish.]

 

Coaching & Teaching Philosophy: Teaching & coaching is a platform in which to mentor students on the importance of morals, values, and ethics through competition. My mission is to create a process by which students & athletes gain confidence and success through the academic process & competing athletically at the highest level. To become lifelong learners in the classroom and on the field. To develop into men & women of character, who practice collective responsibility and become outstanding citizens on-campus and off.
