GHS Commencement Parade Celebrates the Class of 2020

Students paraded from the Grandview Amphitheater to Grandview High School in decorated vehicles. Students and their families drove to one of three stages to hear their names called and receive their diplomas. After walking on to the stage, students were embraced by family and community members. Snapping a photo with their diploma that marked as the seal to a memory lasting a lifetime.

“Graduation is always a time of celebration and one of my absolute favorite times.  This year certainly is dramatically different but the idea is still the same: our students have accomplished something amazing and deserve to be celebrated in the best way possible.  I am definitely happy that we have the ability to celebrate them, even if it looks very different this year,” said Dr. Kenny Rodrequez, Superintendent.

Even though this is not what we imagined, we were able to capture the widest of smiles and tears of joy. Displaying the raw emotion showed how much this meant to the 2020 graduating class of Grandview High School seniors.

We want to express how proud we are of our seniors and we look forward to the amazing accomplishments we will see from them down the road.
